Oncosphère

The Bordeaux Oncosphere project, supported by the University of Bordeaux in collaboration with Inserm, the CNRS, the Bergonié Institute, the Bordeaux University Hospital and the Regional Council of New Aquitaine, aims to unite and promote all the dedicated forces. research on the theme of cancer in the Bordeaux metropolis. It is a collective project carried by an interdisciplinary scientific community of more than 800 people.

The Oncosphere Bordeaux project plans to consolidate the majority of its components into a single site or even a single location in order to create an original research ecosystem of international stature that will allow intercommunity exchanges in the service of attractiveness innovation, valorization and patients. It is part of the larger project, Oncosphere Nouvelle-Aquitaine, also involving the sites of Limoges, Poitiers, La Rochelle and Pau, expanding its potential for research and development through the complementarity of other sites in the region.

Professor Pierre Soubeyran, director of BRIO, also carries the Oncosphere project for Bordeaux and New Aquitaine. The BRIO operational team is part of the Oncosphere Bordeaux steering committee and the actions set up by BRIO (circuit of biological samples for research, patient involvement …) foreshadow opportunities for the future organization of Oncosphere.
