Platforms
Bordeaux has a number of state-of-the-art platforms which give access to an innovative technical platform to the various researchers from the Bordeaux teams.
Indeed, a research laboratory can no longer contain all the expertise needed to complete and validate a research project in its entirety. Bordeaux has several structures access to multiple technological resources, proximity, high level and associated with strong expertise
On the Carreire site, various platforms are present gathered within the UBS TBMCore:
- qRT-PCR
- histopathology
- Vectorology
- Laboratory L3
- Oncoprot ‘
- Crisp’Edit
- Vivoptic
Other structures allow exist also such as
- The Functional Genomics Center of Bordeaux which includes the CBiB and the Bordeaux Imaging Center
- The Biological Resource Center of the CHU
- The UMS 3767 Medical Imaging Platform
- The technical platforms of the Magendie Institute
Following the identification of certain needs, other platforms are planned or under development:
- A metabolomics platform
- A CRISPR platform
- A cellular encapsulation platform
- An imaging antenna in partnership with the Bordeaux Imaging Center (BIC), which will be named Onco-BIC

Specific platforms of the center
The Oncosphere project will allow parallel bridges between the different platforms, to allow samples, whether from the patient or not, to pass through a mesh of different platforms to extract the maximum amount of information and of data. The idea is to create via the UMS TBMCore a one-stop shop to make visible all the know-how available for research in oncology.
