Junior group leader at the Danish Cancer Society Research Center

The Danish Cancer Society Research Center (DCRC) invites applications for a new Junior Group Leader in a dynamic, international and competitive research environment spanning basic, translational, epidemiological and clinical aspects of cancer research.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated person at the senior postdoctoral level with a strong publication record preferably in the area of cancer research.
Your qualifications will be assessed by an evaluation committee consisting of the Director of the Research Center, a Unit Leader, and an external senior scientist. Emphasis will be put on excellence, and the best qualified candidates will be invited for an interview. The successful candidate will have major influence on the choice of research theme to be
established.

Project leader position at IECB

IECB is looking for outstanding candidates in Cancer research with the support of SIRIC Brio and IdEx Bordeaux.

We seek chemists, biochemists, Molecular or Cell Biologists or pharmacologists well versed in the practice of translational cancer research and capable of contributing towards the understanding and modulation of biological functions involved in cancer. Outstanding candidates with experience in molecular modeling, target validation, assay and drug design are particularly welcome.

Cancer Bioinformatician (cancer data analysis)

The successful candidate will have previous experience with NGS data, especially RNA-seq, a solid background in bioinformatics tools and databases, a PhD or equivalent experience. Knowledge of cancer biology would be a plus.

The ability to communicate with biologists and to deliver pertinent results in time as well as the interest for organizing bioinformatics training sessions for biologists are essential.

The position is opened in the cancer bioinformatics and systems biology group (Prof. Jacques Colinge) at the IRCM, Montpellier Cancer Research Institute but projects will involve multiple research teams of the SIRIC Montpellier Cancer, one the eight integrated cancer research sites certified by the French National Cancer Institute (INCa). As a national site of reference for oncology, the SIRIC Montpellier represents an outstanding consortium covering a large field of expertise at the interface of basic, translational and clinical research.

The position is open for two years, extensible depending on success and funding.

Recruitement : post-doctoral scientist interested in diagnostic testing in the elderly cancer population

Missions :

  • Development of a research project for the improvement of existing screening tools in geriatric oncology;
  • Literature reviews to identify databases of interest;
  • Requesting and formatting the targeted databases for analysis, statistical analysis, preparation of the manuscripts.
  • Finalize other ongoing works in geriatric oncology to identify frail patients.

Competences/Skill :

  • Doctoral degree in epidemiology and/or biostatistics (meta-analysis, diagnostic performances, relative performances, generalized linear regression models, etc.);
  • Experience in cancer research is an asset;
  • Knowledge of English.

Position : 2 year post-doctoral position

Recrutement : L’unité de Pathologie Moléculaire recherche un  biologiste/pathologiste ayant des compétences en Diagnostic Moléculaire et /ou Cytogénétique

Missions : Participation à l’activité de diagnostic génétique en pathologie tumorale. Participer à la mise en place de nouvelles techniques et applications. Participer à l’analyse des résultats à des fins de recherche (communications et publications). Participer aux activités d’enseignement.

Compétences et Qualités Requises :   

  • Organiser son travail, posséder le sens des responsabilités
  • Avoir une bonne aptitude à travailler en équipe
  • Posséder de la rigueur
  • Avoir de bonnes capacités de communication avec le personnel, les autres professionnels
  • Avoir une bonne maîtrise des outils informatiques

Profil de compétences :   

  • Etre médecin ou pharmacien diplômé en biologie médicale ou médecin diplômé en anatomo-cyto- pathologie
  • Avoir une formation spécialisée parmi les formations suivantes : DES de biologie médicale, option génétique ; DESC de cytogénétique ; DES d’anatomo-pathologie
  • Avoir un  diplôme garantissant une formation en cytogénétique et/ou en génétique moléculaire
  • Avoir une expérience en génétique tumorale (souhaitable)

Type de poste offert :  Assistant spécialiste des centres de lutte contre le cancer.
